The original house was an old Wahroonga single-level full-brick home with small garage under that had been outgrown by the family.

Due to the existing positioning of the building on the block (close to the boundaries) it was decided to leave some of the original house (only two walls) and to redevelop the rear of the property. In addition, adding a first floor to achieved a five bedroom, modern open plan home with a library, home theatre and outdoor entertaining pavillion.

The TV studio/home theatre at the rear is a specially constructed steel portal frame which allowed for a large open plan home theatre room with a fully raked and timber lined ceiling with only a small flat section of ceiling to facilitate the air conditioning equipment.

The new formal lounge and dining rooms are finished with a new wide board tongue and groove spotted gum Australiana flooring. Specialised air conditioning ducting and systems, light fittings and pelmets and specialised cellar fit out with superior quality joinery and timberwork have made this an exceptional home.
